Thanks for your comment and we fully agree that the disposal of CFLs  is big concern. 
For unbroken CFLS, I know that Eco Service and AVES have tried their best to find a place where fused CFLs could be sent, but in the end it did not work out. Virtually all components – glass, metals and other materials that make them up – can be recycled but for this we need  to find a place where they can be transported, processed and sorted into recyclable components to make new ones. 
As for broken CFLs, this another big issue that we need  to address. As you could have read, lots of care must  be taken when dealing with a broken one - this is highly toxic stuff.  But what do we do with the pieces once it is out of the house? This has yet to be properly answered.
If more and more people join and work towards finding a solution , eventually something will come up .
